Rising Tide Brewing Company’s East Room
103 Fox Street

Think you know forest products? Think again.

While Maine’s working forests still embrace the traditional forest products uses, they are also leading the way with transformative uses as the “wood basket” of the US.  Maine’s forest economy is set for a 40% growth to $12 billion by 2025, and reaching full implementation of the Forest Opportunity Roadmap could have a tremendous impact on the A/E/C industry.  Our forests are being used in new building materials as well as consumer and business products that use clean cellulose.  Our panel will bring a wealth of insight regarding this important Maine industry, sharing their knowledge of  the versatility of wood beyond the traditional products like packaging paper and timber, to future forest outputs including advanced building materials, eco-friendly chemicals, biodegradable plastics, and cutting edge technical products made of nancellulose.

Moderated by Andy Hamilton, a statewide environmental attorney from Eaton Peabody, learn more from our panelists about the hurdles and opportunities in the supply chain, trends within the industry and the growth of diverse products.

Panelists Include:

  • Donna Cassese: Consultant Government Affairs, Sappi North America
  • Steve Schley: President, Pingree Associates / FOR Maine Steering Committee
  • Other panelists to be announced!

One lucky  attendee will win a pair of Allbirds shoes which are made from trees!
