Utilities

We are experienced in assisting our clients with Maine’s regulatory issues and transactions. We provide advice to private and public sector clients for discrete utility matters, including regulatory proceedings, legislative affairs, litigation, utility transactions, facility development and finance.

Our clients include a local telecommunications company, a major electric utility, water and sewer utilities, and businesses with various electric utility issues, such as industry restructuring, power purchase transactions, facility development and PUC regulatory review.

We have extensive experience with water utility issues, including transactional work, PUC regulatory proceedings, litigation and legislative affairs. We are the Maine legislative counsel to the Independent System Operator for the New England electric grid.

Together with Eaton Peabody Consulting Group, we are active in representing various stakeholders in alternative energy development, including waste-to-energy facilities and wind generation projects.
