Eaton Peabody and TD Bank Launch Members Helping Members Program

Bangor, ME – The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with TD Bank and Eaton Peabody, is pleased to announce The 2020 BRCC Members Helping Members promotion to encourage small and medium sized businesses to join the BRCC by easing any financial barriers caused by COVID-19.

“I know how much value we get out of our BRCC Membership, and we would not want small businesses who stand to benefit the most, to have to make the decision to drop their membership due to finances.” said Nate Levesque, Marketing Manager for Eaton Peabody. “That’s why when we were approached by the BRCC to partner on this initiative, it made perfect sense.” continued Levesque.

TD Bank supported a similar membership drive program last year. “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, and equally pleased to partner with Eaton Peabody to make this program available to more businesses. We are always happy when we can support our local business community!” said Jeff Pangburn, Vice President, Senior Commercial Relationship Manager for TD Bank.

TD Bank and Eaton Peabody have each committed $2,500, for a total pool of $5,000 to cover half of the first year’s annual membership dues of any new member, or any member who is rejoining the Chamber after a lapse of at least 3 years. Also, if a business recently terminated it’s BRCC membership due to the financial impact of COVID-19, they can apply for a grant from these funds to rejoin.

“We have been committed to working with our members to ensure they receive the support they need during this time. This generous support from TD Bank and Eaton Peabody means that those members who have to make difficult cash flow decisions can retain their membership and continue to receive valuable support from the Chamber. This truly illustrates how the Bangor community is coming together to help each other through this challenging time,” said Deb Neuman, BRCC President and CEO.

The Members Helping Members program funds are available on a first come basis.

This program will be made available from October 12th, 2020 through December 31st, 2020.
