The Law Firm of Eaton Peabody, P.A. provides notice to current and former clients of its intent to dispose of paper and electronic files not previously destroyed pursuant to its standard terms of engagement. Pursuant to the Maine Rules of Professional Conduct, any remaining paper and electronic files for matters completed on or before May 1, 2017 will be confidentially disposed of if clients do not provide written notice on or before May 16, 2025 requesting all or a portion of their retained files. Although some paper and electronic copies may be retained by Eaton Peabody thereafter at the election of the firm, failure to request copies prior to May 16, 2025 may result in their destruction. This notice does not apply to original Wills which are permanently retained.
