Laura E. Jensen is an associate in Eaton Peabody’s Real Estate Practice Group based in Bangor. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Laura worked as a Law Clerk for the Hon. Ellen A. Gorman, Associate Justice, Maine Supreme Judicial Court where she had the opportunity to work on a wide range of federal, state, and municipal legal issues.
While living in New York, Laura was the Director of Environmental Law Programs at Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law. She previously served as the Graduate Research Fellow for the Environmental Law Program, where among other accomplishments she co-authored an amicus brief in the Deepwater Horizon litigation that was endorsed by more than fifty environmental law professors from across the country. Her work as Director intersected with the work of many faculty members, students, and research centers. She oversaw the program’s annual events, the Global Center for Environmental Legal Studies student research program, the DC Environmental Externship Program, the UN Diplomacy Program, and the program’s communications and outreach, including its annual reports and monthly newsletters. She also counseled environmental law students on curriculum and career planning and taught as an adjunct professor of law.
Laura received her JD magna cum laude with a Certificate in Environmental law in 2011 from Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, where she was a Presidential Law Scholar. She received an LLM degree in Environmental Law from the Haub School in 2012. During law school, she participated in the Federal Judicial Honors Program and served as a Productions Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review.
Laura is admitted to the bars of Maine, New Jersey, and New York. Her professional memberships include the Maine State Bar Association and the Penobscot County Bar Association.
