Jack is an Associate in Eaton Peabody’s Employee Benefits and Labor & Employment Practice Groups based in Portland, Maine.

Jack counsels clients in all aspects of employee benefits, executive compensation, retirement benefit divisions, wage and hour issues, FMLA, employee discipline, discrimination, and labor negotiations. Jack’s work includes assisting employers with the operation and maintenance of both tax-qualified retirement plans and plans for tax-exempt and governmental entities, and Jack has an active practice preparing qualified domestic relations orders for individuals going through divorce. Additionally, Jack regularly assists private and public employers, colleges, and universities with general employment compliance issues such as health regulatory policies and procedures, employee handbooks, paid family and medical leave, employment contracts, and other labor and employment issues.

Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Jack earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in May 2019 as a member of the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program. While in law school, Jack served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gary Hicks of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, as well as a judicial intern for the Honorable Paul Barbadoro of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. At UNH Law, Jack was the Chief Notes Editor of the University of New Hampshire Law Review, and was a Torts and Trusts/Estates Teaching Assistant.

Jack also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Colby College, where he was a member of the Varsity Men’s Swim Team and club water polo team.

As a Maine native, Jack loves spending time outdoors with his wife and two dogs, and enjoys any chance he can get to photograph Maine’s coastal landscapes and wildlife. In his free time, Jack can also be found volunteering, traveling, or outside golfing or swimming.
