FLAGSUIT, LLC.

Flagsuit LLC was founded to commercialize technology developed for the winning entry in the 2007 NASA Astronaut Space Suit Glove Competition, and currently produces pressure capable gloves for industrial and educational markets. Based in coastal Maine, the company is developing a full-body hyperbaric (pressurized) suit with excellent mobility at a price that enables affordable commercial spacesuits. The same product will fill a non-space consumer need for a mobile chamber for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, creating a convenient way for people to treat and prevent disease. Our all-textile flexibility joints consistently outperform all others in cost, weight and ease of use, and enable higher operating pressures without sacrificing dexterity. Our suits and gloves can be manufactured to the exact dimensions of the wearer without the need for adjustment or rework.

POWER HOUSE DYNAMICS, LLC.

Power House Dynamics is engaged in the business of developing and marketing home energy monitoring systems. The company’s first product, the eMonitor, is expected to enable homeowners to reduce their electricity consumption by up to 25 percent. The eMonitor will provide users with the ability to see their energy use down to the outlet and appliance level. Future products will feature “demand response” ability, which will enable appliances to be shut down automatically by a utility in response to peak demand or pricing changes. The company’s products are independent of “smart meters,” yet they are designed to be compatible with the “smart meter” platform as it is adopted by utility companies. Through the Innovative Enterprise Program, we assisted the company in raising its angel-stage capital, in creating its company operating structure, and in negotiating several of its strategic partnerships.
