Thom represents management in the private and public sectors, handling discrimination cases, labor contract negotiations and arbitration, and union organization attempts. He also represents clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, Maine Labor Relations Board and Maine Human Rights Commission. Thom advises employers regarding wrongful discharge issues, OSHA (safety), immigration, and general employment issues and provides education and training for management on topics of supervision, negotiating skills, discipline and discharge, hiring, human resources management, creativity, and strategic planning for business. He also reviews employment applications, policies, and handbooks.
