Michael F. Hahn Michael is a corporate finance attorney focused on asset based lending, commercial lending, acquisition financing and representing buyers and sellers of businesses and entities, and financial assets, including purchasers and sellers of distressed debt. Michael also regularly advises clients in connection with secured transactions and the creation, perfection and enforcement of security interests under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Michael also has significant experience in business reorganization and financial restructuring law and regularly advises financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors and businesses in connection with loan workouts, forbearance agreements, out-of-court restructurings, out-of-court winddowns and liquidations, intercreditor issues and matters arising under the Bankruptcy Code, including cash collateral disputes, DIP financing arrangements and asset sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Michael has represented debtors, secured creditors, trustees, committees, bond holders, unsecured creditors, lessors and other parties-in-interest in connection with preference litigation, fraudulent transfer litigation, stay relief, plan negotiation and confirmation and in all other matters arising under the Bankruptcy Code. Michael also has significant experience in matters arising under state insolvency laws including assignments for the benefits of creditors and the enforcement of security interests under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code through partial and strict foreclosure and replevin actions.
Immediately prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Michael worked in the Financial Institutions and Bankruptcy practice groups of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, one of the largest law firms in the United States, where he regularly represented national, regional and community banks and private equity firms in connection with negotiating, structuring and documenting asset based revolving loans, loan workouts, the purchase and sale of financial assets and matters arising under federal and state insolvency laws.
