Eaton Peabody Announces Addition of New Associates

We are pleased to announce that Christine B. Worthen, M. Katherine Lynch, F. David Walker IV, and John R. Canders have joined the Firm as associates in the Bangor office.

Ms. Worthen received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Boston University in 1995. She is a 1998 graduate of the New England School of Law and earned a L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in 2002. While attending law school, Ms. Worthen was an associate editor of the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement, and was a clerk at the Appellate Tax Board in Boston. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Ms. Worthen was a tax attorney with a Providence, Rhode Island law firm and was also a tax manager with the international accounting firm, Grant Thornton LLP.

Ms. Lynch graduated from Middlebury College in 1997. She is a 2002 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law where she was recognized for her significant contributions to pro bono legal services. While attending law school, Ms. Lynch served as Technical Editor of the Maine Law Review. She has served as Law Clerk to Justices Thomas Delahanty, II, Ellen Gorman and Thomas Warren. Most recently she served as Law Clerk to the Honorable John A. Woodcock, Jr., of the United States District Court, District of Maine.

Mr. Walker graduated with honors from the University of Alaska in Anchorage. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, cum laude. While attending the School of Law, he served as an editor on the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal. Upon graduation he served as Law Clerk to Justice Paul L. Rudman of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.

Mr. Canders graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College in 1996 and from Suffolk Law School in 2004 Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Mr. Canders worked in the office of Maine Governor Angus S. King, Jr., and then worked for several years in the private business, holding positions with Putnam Investments in Andover, Massachusetts and Sprague Energy Corp. in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
