Morell: Maine Creditors
Morrell to present seminar on Maine creditors' rights in July.
On July 23, 2004 , Steve Morrell, resident in the firm's Brunswick office, will present a seminar on Maine Creditor's Rights in Portland. The seminar is sponsored by the National Business Institute. Steve will prepare written materials and speak on recent bankruptcy developments, ethical considerations, the Maine Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act and strategies for locating and realizing upon debtors' assets. This seminar is a logical extension of the work Steve and fellow Brunswick shareholder, John Loyd, completed last fall on the subject of Asset Protection in Maine. Steve's credentials for this particular seminar include his 10 years of board certification in Business Bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification, his 6 years of service as a Panel Chair on the Maine Board of Overseers' Grievance Commission and his extensive experience both prosecuting and defending fraudulent transfer litigation. Steve's materials on the subject of recent developments in bankruptcy law and revisions to the uniform commercial code have been published by NBI in concert with the West Publishing Company.
