Expansion plans announced for Hancock County Dale L. Worthen, Esq., joins Firm’s growing ranks - January 6, 2005

We are pleased to announce that we will open an Ellsworth, Maine, office by the end of the first quarter of 2005. This expansion is needed to serve the firm’s growing Hancock County client base as well as clients in Washington County.

The new office will be headed by long time Ellsworth attorney Dale L. Worthen who is expected to officially join the firm in mid-January. Mr. Worthen’s practice will focus on real estate, environmental law, municipal law, and estate and small business planning. He will practice out of Eaton Peabody’s current Blue Hill location until the opening of the Ellsworth office. The Blue Hill office will then be moved to Ellsworth and consolidated with the new Ellsworth operation. An early spring opening in Ellsworth is expected. Once fully operational, the Ellsworth office will include Mr. Worthen’s son, Matthew Worthen (who is currently an associate in our Bangor office), along with other attorneys and support staff.

“We are excited about this opportunity to bring on board one of Hancock County’s most experienced and respected transactional attorneys as we seek to serve clients in Downeast Maine,” said Mr. McKay. “Ellsworth is the hub of a growing and vital region. We look forward to contributing to that growth.”
