Parent Named Policy Director for Maine Department of Environmental Protection

MAINE - October 19, 2011 Eaton Peabody is proud to announce that attorney Heather Parent has been selected to serve as Policy Director at Maine Department of Environmental Protection, effective October 11, 2011. Heather has served more than nine of her eleven years of practice as an environmental attorney at Eaton Peabody.

In her new role with the DEP, she will be working closely with the Department's newly appointed Commissioner, Patricia Aho, to help shape and administer the policies of the Department, consistent with the Department's mission to protect and preserve the natural environment of the State of Maine.

Heather earned her Juris Doctor and her Masters of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School in 2000. Heather earned her B.S. in Environmental Science from Susquehanna University in 1997. She grew up in Winn and Peru, Maine and currently resides in Brewer.
