New USCIS filing fees effective November 23, 2010

Employers sponsoring foreign workers for nonimmigrant and immigrant visas should take note that USCIS filing fees for some of the common employment-based immigration applications will increase effective November 23, 2010.
Of particular note are the impending increases in the filing fees for I-140 immigrant petitions, from the current $475 to $580, and the premium processing service, which goes from the current $1,000 fee to $1,225. The fee for a nonimmigrant petition also increases by $5. Some fees for dependent applications will actually decrease.
The following are a few of the adjusted fees that will take effect on November 23, 2010, alongside the existing fees in effect until that date:
