Hamilton to Moderate MEREDA Presentation

BANGOR, MAINE - October 18, 2011 Andy Hamilton, who has over 25 years of experience in economic development and municipal law, will moderate The Maine Real Estate & Development’s (MEREDA) seminar ‘The New Vision for Development in the Bangor Region’ on October 19th at the Bangor Hilton Garden Inn. Four panelists: Catherine Conlow, Bangor City Manager; Evan Richert, Orono Town Planner; Cary Weston, Bangor City Council Member; and Michael Aube, President of Eastern Maine Development Corporation will discuss the future development in the Bangor Region, a region that has been the hub of significant change in the last 10 years.

As the service center to a large portion of northern and eastern Maine, Bangor has served as an economic engine to these regions. As the economic landscape changed, Bangor’s development strategy has had to adapt. The presentation will provide both City and regional perspective on the future development efforts in this area giving insight to the unique public and private collaborations taking place to improve our communities and attract investors to the region.
