Eaton Peabody Welcomes Attorney Gretchen L. Jones to the Firm

BANGOR, MAINE - Jan. 3, 2012 The law firm of Eaton Peabody is pleased to welcome attorney Gretchen Jones to the Firm.

Ms. Jones has extensive experience providing counsel to financial institutions with an emphasis on regulatory compliance. She has advocated on behalf of clients before the Maine Legislature, members of Congress, federal financial regulators and state agencies. She is also a frequent speaker nationally on financial institution regulatory matters. She was recently recognized by Best Lawyers of America as the 2012 Lawyer of the Year for Financial Services Regulation Law for the Portland, Maine market.

Ms. Jones is a member of the Maine and New Hampshire State Bar Associations and is a member and former Chair of the Maine Bar Association's Consumer and Financial Institution Law Section. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Red Mass Committee for the Diocese of Maine.
Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Ms. Jones was a shareholder at the law firm of Skelton, Taintor and Abbott in Auburn, Maine. Ms. Jones earned her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law and her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Bowdoin College.
