Four Attorneys to Present Workshops
February 24, 2009
BANGOR, MAINE February 24, 2009 – Eaton Peabody, PA will sponsor the Maine Land Conservation Conference on May 1st and 2nd in Brunswick, Maine. Organized by Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT), a statewide land conservation organization, over 400 attendees will take part in the conventions workshops, land fair exhibition, and roundtables with the purpose of being educated in best practices for successful conservation activities for the State. "Eaton Peabody has a long history of working with landowners and land trusts in helping conserve andprotect Maine land and waters,’ said John Loyd, a Natural Resources and Environmental attorney in the Brunswick office, ‘it’s only natural we would support a like-minded organization as MCHT." The firm has assisted clients and their communities in preserving over 1M acres of Maine land. Projects include the Pingree Forest Partnership, the Downeast Lakes easements, the Machias River Easement, and the West Branch Easement. Attorneys Sarah Newall, Sara Reinhart, Heather Parent, and John Loyd will be presenting topics on developing easement guidelines, hazardous waste reviews, and staffing issues within a land trust.
