Eaton Peabody Renews Sponsorship of Maine International Trade Center’s Bangor Program Series
October 05, 2010
The Maine International Trade Center is pleased to announce that Bangor law firm Eaton Peabody is renewing its sponsorship of the Trade Center’s educational seminar series in the Greater Bangor Region. Founded in 1996, MITC is a public-private partnership that provides international trade research, consulting, and education across the state.
“We look forward to once again sponsoring MITC’s seminar series in the Greater Bangor Region," said Managing Partner, Dan McKay. "We see this as a part of Eaton Peabody’s strategic effort to help boost entrepreneurship in Maine and hope that these programs will benefit not only Eaton Peabody’s internationally active clients but also all other interested Maine businesses.”
The Trade Center will host two events in Greater Bangor later this year. During the 2009-2010 year, over 125 people attended sessions on the basics of exporting and the potential effects and opportunities of Hydro-Quebec’s entry to neighboring Atlantic Canadian and New England markets.
“We are enormously grateful for the support that Eaton Peabody has provided to the Trade Center, not just this year but since the beginning of our organization in 1996,” commented Trade Center President Janine Bisaillon-Cary. “They have truly made the private sector commitment that is critical to the success of the public-private model.”
