Eaton Peabody Appoints Two New Shareholders

BANGOR, MAINE February 3, 2009 – The law firm of Eaton Peabody is pleased to announce that Noreen A. Patient and John R. Canders have been named shareholders of the firm.  

Noreen Alvarado Patient, Esq.

Patient is a member of the Litigation practice in the Brunswick office specializing in Real Estate and Commercial Litigation. Admitted to practice in Maine and Pennsylvania,   she is a member of the American Bar and Maine Trial Lawyers Associations. She obtained her J.D. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School and her undergraduate degree from Haverford College. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, Patient practiced at a large Philadelphia- based law firm where she focused on white collar criminal defense and government investigations. She resides in Durham with her husband and daughter.





John R. Canders, Esq.

Canders is a member of the Real Estate practice in the Bangor office where he focuses on representing clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions and real estate litigation. Canders is an active member of the greater Bangor community, and currently serves as Chair of Fusion Bangor's Steering Committee as well as Vice President of the Penobscot County Bar Association. He is a graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute class of 2007, a past board member of the Bangor Y, and works to support numerous charities in the greater Bangor area. He graduated from Suffolk Law School in Boston, Massachusetts and received an undergraduate degree in economics from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Canders is a  native of Aroostook County and currently resides in Brewer, Maine with his wife and two children.
