Andy Hamilton Named Best Lawyers' Bangor Land Use & Zoning Law "Lawyer of the Year" for 2013

Andy was honored as a "Lawyer of the Year" because he received a particularly high rating by Best Lawyers. Andy has more than 25 years experience in general environmental counseling and regulatory compliance, natural resource permitting, and land use permitting. He has served for more than 25 years as general counsel and has provided environmental law services on special projects to Maine municipalities.

He is the Chair of the Environmental & Land Use and Municipal Law & Finance practice groups at Eaton Peabody. Andy's practice concentrates on environmental compliance counseling, and representing clients in proceedings under state and federal environmental laws. He has extensive experience in hazardous substance and waste laws, and is the author of the Maine law text for the treatise on Brownfields Redevelopment published by Matthew Bender.

Andy received his J.D. from the University Of Maine School Of Law and his B.A. from Wesleyan University. He has been top ranked in Chambers USA for Environmental Law and has been consistently listed in Best Lawyers in America for Land Use and Zoning.
