Heather Parent to Speak on Environmental Law Issues - July 19, 2007

PORTLAND – The National Business Institute – one of the nation’s largest providers of professional education – has invited Heather Parent of Eaton Peabody’s Environmental Law practice group to speak about legal issues involving the complex maze of environmental issues at the Portland Doubletree Hotel on September 18, 2007.

Parent will be providing two morning sessions, the first on major environmental law updates and the second on the major issues in water use and pollution. Within the seminars she will take an in-depth look at the Maine Natural Resource Protection Act (NRPA), the recent developments in wetlands jurisdiction after the Rapanos decision, and in-stream flow regulations among other national and state concerns. Other sessions will be provided on the Clean Air Act, hazardous waste regulation, enforcement, and real estate related issues.
