Employer Fiduciary Responsibility Seminar - September 5, 2006

ELLSWORTH—The Financial Services division of Union Trust Company has invited Christine Worthen of Eaton Peabody, Attorneys-at-Law to host a roundtable discussion on the fiduciary responsibilities of employers who offer 401(k) and/or Profit Sharing Plans. She will touch upon topics like investing plan assets, required disclosures, plan amendments, timeliness of deposits, tax reporting, and hiring a service provider. The presentation is free, open to the public, and will be held on Thursday, September 21st from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the main office of Union Trust Company at 66 Main Street. 

Ms. Worthen’s practice concentrates in all areas of federal, state, local, and estate tax law matters as well as executive compensation planning and pension and employee benefit law. Her pension and employee benefit law practice focuses on advising clients in all aspects of employee benefits and ERISA including plan design and implementation, plan administration and compliance, and employee benefit issues arising out of mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Worthen holds a BA from Boston University, a JD from the New England Shool of Law, and an LLM from the Boston University School of Law.
