Eaton Peabody Appoints Three New Shareholders

BANGOR, MAINE - January 30, 2008 The law firm of Eaton Peabody is pleased to announce that David C. Pierson, Heather L. Parent, and Matthew C. Worthen have been named shareholders of the firm.

David C. Pierson, Esq.

David C. Pierson, Esq.Pierson is a member of the Litigation/Dispute Resolution practice in the Brunswick office. He built his practice by representing contractors, subcontractors, modular home manufacturers and dealers in residential and commercial construction matters over the past 13 years. Pierson was named a Leading Lawyer for Construction Law by Best Lawyers in America in 2007, based upon client surveys. He is currently a Director of the Auburn Business Development Corporation, Lewiston Development Corporation, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Pierson graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. He also is a graduate of the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research and Bates College. He currently resides in Portland.

Heather L. Parent, Esq.

Heather L. Parent, Esq.Parent is a member of the Environmental and Land Use practice in the Bangor office. Over the past 7 years, she has built her practice on representing municipalities, businesses and individuals with natural resource and environmental permitting matters, including wetlands and waste-water discharge permitting, significant wildlife habitat matters including vernal pool habitat and shorebird and wading bird habitat, Brownfields redevelopment, and hazardous substance and waste law issues. Parent obtained her JD and Master of Studies in Environmental Law from the Vermont Law School and graduated magna cum laude from Susquehanna University. She is an author of the Maine law text for the treatise on Brownfields Redevelopment published by Matthew Bender. She is a member of Keep Bangor Beautiful and Bangor Trails and currently resides in Hampden.

Matthew C. Worthen, Esq.

Matthew C. Worther, Esq.Worthen is a member of the Real Estate practice in the Ellsworth office. His 7 years of experience focuses on representing individuals and entities with their municipal law, land use regulation, and real estate development issues. He also works within Eaton Peabody's Commercial Lending practice assisting financial institutions with financing and lending issues. Worthen is on the Downeast Health Services's Board of Directors, a trustee of Woodlaw Museum, and a member of Friends of Acadia. He graduated from the Columbus School of Law and Providence College, cum laude. Worthen currently resides in Dedham.
