Development services are provided to municipal and regional entities such as the Bangor Target Area Development Corporation and Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development, as well as to a wide range of business development projects, such as Waterville’s Trafton Properties or MaineGeneral Medical Center. Presently over a dozen communities from Orono to Arundel have engaged EPCG for task specific municipal management, planning, or development services.

EPCG assists businesses to expand and grow, as well as developing for them new markets in northern New England and Atlantic Canada. Assistance can include identification of financial resources, strategic planning, development approvals, and networking.

The government affairs focus of EPCG is broad, covering such areas as food, housing and transportation policy. Example organizations include the Maine Grocers Association, the Maine Better Transportation Association, the Maine Affordable Housing Coalition and the Maine Real Estate Managers Association. These services complement the long standing presence of Eaton Peabody representation of business clients in Augusta.

Municipal management is geared toward assisting communities who are in transition. Consultants can provide assistance in staff replacements, such as municipal manager replacement. EPCG can work with Boards on conflict resolution, ethical issues, and reorganization. EPCG has assisted communities in reorganization efforts and in assessing critical financial issues.

EPCG is further strengthened by its affiliation with the law firm of Eaton Peabody. Established in 1939, Eaton Peabody provides sophisticated legal services across a wide array of disciplines.
